Winding like a jade ribbon through the hills of northern Fujian, the Chongyangxi River has long sustained the lush riparian landscapes on its banks. In 2024, brought this living panorama into sharper focus by crafting a 10,000 m² greenway that merges seamlessly with mountain, stream, and forest—providing residents and visitors with an immersive, low-impact pathway for ecological patrols and leisurely strolls alike.
Design Concept
- Harmonious Integration: The deck’s gently undulating lines follow the natural contour of the riverbank, allowing it to “breathe” alongside the current.
- Subtle Presence: Rather than dominating the scenery, the bamboo base offers a warm, natural foundation that recedes into the landscape. Footsteps are cushioned, and the structure itself becomes a silent guardian, aging gracefully under sun and rain.
- Mindful Engagement: As walkers move through the corridor of trees, they are invited to experience the classical Chinese sensibility of “walking until the water ends, sitting to watch clouds rise.”
